You askedDNF I pre-ordered this book based on the blurb alone; it sounded like a good domestic/psychological thriller. Had I known it was part of a detective series, I would’ve skipped it.Still, I tried. Amid mounting cliches and mistakenly attributing “More Than A Feeling” to REO Speedwagon (cringe), I tried. But ultimately, I couldn’t press on .... too many cliches, too juvenile-sounding, too boring, too formulaic.For fans of this author — as well as detective series books — it might be an enjoyable read. Just not my thing, and I wish there had been some indication that this actually isn’t a stand-alone domestic thriller.Pretty good book This was a good book..but I give it four stars because there was something I didn't like...I had this book figured out half way through and knew exactly who was the bad guy here because the author completely gave it away. I don't like that. Not that early anyways. I kind of thought that was a bit of a let down.
