This book was OK, I expected a little more from it. Gives me basic info and recommendations.
Fodor always provides extensive information that is easily accessible or may be read cover to cover. The guide provides background as well as current information. The added plus is the back insert of the map of the island. We relied on especially the information about the variety of beaches available on Maui. An added bonus is information on Molokai and Lanai. These islands are within a ferry’s distance and could be an additional day trip depending on your time on the island.
This guide book is very limited in information it presents. Promises a lot but delivers little. Restaurants are a fraction of those in any area. I expected ALL of them to be listed and then there recommendations. Snorkeling information was scant and lacked details. I bought this book only because it was the most recently published. If Maui reveled had an up to date edition, it would have been my choice based on previous purchase
